Last year while I was laid up I published a puzzle book called “Stall Rest.” I really enjoyed using my downtime to make this and it’s something I’m quite proud of.
Shortly after that I decided to create an equestrian journal for 2024. I have been using the journal regularly and have been thoroughly enjoying it as a useful tool on my equestrian journey. The journal has been in the hands of lots of people in the area, too, and I’ve gotten a lot of great feedback!
Since I use my own journal for my equestrian life I noted changes I wanted to make, and I wanted something to continue with once 2024 is over.
Introducing my new and improved equestrian journal!

My new journal has lots of upgrades that I thought was necessary or simply helpful.
- Instead of predated pages you have DIY. You can buy this journal today and start using it immediately…no waiting for Jan 1st.
- Instead of 1 year you get 18 months. Time flies and it’s nice to have a little more time in your journal.
- The veterinary pages have expanded and include a section for medical history so you can input any significant illnesses, injuries, or situations that might be relevant moving forward.
- The chiropractic log has improved to include all adjustment areas in a table format. You can copy your notes from the chiropractor into the table and see what your horse’s common adjustment areas tend to be.
- I kept the weekly calendar but added a monthly calendar as well.
- With each month you have the option to track a daily habit. Choose a new habit for each 30-day challenge or try something new each month.
- You get a 3 month “look ahead” where you can list any events or shows you’re hoping to go to.
- The weekly pages offer a “countdown” to 2 main events you’re looking forward to. This allows you to see each week how many weeks you have left to prepare so you can plan training accordingly.
- Instead of writing exercises in the back you now have 50 pages to use for clinic notes.

In addition to the new updates you have the same features as the 2024 planner:
- Important Contacts
- Weekly planner
- 3 Months Goals Checkins
- Routine health check log
- Veterinary Log
- Vaccination Log
- Deworming Log
- Farrier Log
- Dentistry Log
- Feed Regimen
- Tack log
- Show log
I am so excited about this new journal, for myself but also for others who want to use it too!
My vision for the journal is to see lesson programs and pony clubs using this and keeping the journals for each horse in the barn. Riders can write what they did with the horse each day in the journal so they can communicate with each other. Farm owners and managers can use this log to keep the horses up to date but also allow their students to see (and possibly help track) some of the non-riding responsibilities involved with horsemanship. Students can learn to perform routine wellness checks and more!
If you’re interested, I do have some copies physically I can offer, but you may also get these on Amazon.
If you are looking to outfit a tack shop, storefront, your barn, your club or simply get several of these journals, please reach out to me. I may be able to help you get a better price (5 or more books).
