OVERVIEW:
Not long ago I was approached by a person from Innovet Pet Products. I have always been interested in CBD for both myself and in my animals. I am an investor with a human company and have used their human products previously.
In fact, I have been working on a research article to share with you but it’s been a slow progress with all that’s going on in my life.
That said, I was surprised by the outreach but since I’m open minded I accepted a trial. I received a one month supply of Equine PCR Hemp Pellets, a bottle of Advanced Mobility Support Chews for Dogs, and a bottle of PureHemp with Catnip.
**NOTE: I unfortunately have not yet tried the horse product as I wanted to make sure I was around long enough to observe and note any changes. I will be doing separate posts.**
Since they reached out to me I was hesitant to say yes…but after some questions and some research on my own I was comforted by their reputation. In fact, some of my own vets know about the brand and had nothing bad to say. I go with the “trust but verify” philosophy.
Innovet Pet Products has been in business since 2005 out of a need for the founders to address the health needs of their own animals. The two founders Matthew Terrill, an engineer, and David Louvet, a biochemist, worked to develop this company.
Before CBD became popular Innovet started with an ear flush to help their dog’s ear infection. Over time it grew to include scented markers to help blind dogs navigate, and a solution to help bad breathe. In 2016 the company launched PurHemp. Today the company still offers a diverse line of products but the Hemp products are designed for a variety of uses and tailored to dogs, cats, horses, birds, and more.
The hemp product is imported from northern Europe, the carrier oil is grown in Oregon. The final product is mixed, tested, and bottled all here in the United States. I was interested in the quality control and the company does thrid party testing and even offers Certificates of Analysis right on their website. The CoAs tell you information about the lab doing the tests, the method used, and the result.
Bardi is a twelve-year-old Icelandic Sheepdog. He was 11 when we tried these for the first time. As he’s matured, his face has gotten grey. He can’t hear as well. He sleeps more. It takes him a second to get up from laying down. When coming downstairs he sometimes hesitates to come down our last few steps . He’s turning into an old man, I know he’s up there in years but it just happens too soon with our beloved animals.
I began Bardi on the hip mobility support chews. Bardi weighs around 35 pounds so we began him with 2 chews per day. The dosing chart is extremely helpful for knowing how much to give!

The mobility support chews contain hemp extract with 2.5mg of CBD per chew. Each chew also contains Glucosamine HCl for rebuilding cartilage and reduce joint pain/inflammation. PurforMSM is added for multiple benefits…it is added to help detoxify the body and facilitate respiratory health, provide fluid to the joints, and creating healthy skin coat and nails. Hemp seed powder is added providing omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, vitamins, and additional minerals. Green-lipped mussel is also full of omega-3 fatty acids and offers natural chondroitin sulfate, zinc, iron, selenium, and B vitamins. Finally wild Alaskan salmon oil which further provides essential fatty acids to help with joint health and reduce soreness.
Needless to say despite the smell to my own olfactory system Bardi thought they were delicious, I have to remind him “EASY” as I had the treats to him because he’s so excited about them!
Before we began using the Mobility support chews our normal routine was human fish oil capsule (1200mg) and Cosequin. He got one of each after breakfast. We are exceptionally lucky that he’s happy and willing to take the fishoil capsule with no fuss. The Cosequin contains Glucosamine HCl, Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate, MSM and Manganese. The mobility support chews contains all of that AND THEN SOME. They also contain the fish oil and the hemp extract.
Using the InnovetPet Mobility Chews we noticed that Bardi felt EVEN BETTER. As mentioned before Bardi is becoming an old man. He gets around more slowly; he’s getting the aches and pains associated with age and arthritis. Within the month supply I could tell Bardi seemed overall more vibrant, he began to run more, wander more, he was more alert.
Since running out of our sample jar we did indeed go back and purchase more, and will plan to continue these for Bardi for his days. His demeanor and attitude says it all.
PROS:
- My dog loves the taste and gobbles it down, no fighting with pills
- The company provides certificate of analysis right on the product page.
- Bundles and deals are available all the time
- The products are backed by a 30 day guarantee
- They’re shaped like hearts!
CONS
- It smells bad to us humans
- Not available in stores, you buy it right from the company itself

Final Word:
I was a skeptic, I’ll admit it.
But after seeing research about the products and learning more about the company I began to trust them a bit.
I was exceptionally grateful for the ability to do a month trial for my critters.
During the time I had giving Bardi his Advanced Mobility Support Chews I was impressed. You can’t take away the effects of aging but Bardi moved better, felt better, looked more lively, and you can’t tell a dog to fake it.
Bardi has been on this supplement for months now, and we will continue to use it since we have seen such a remarkable difference.
