Recently I had the pleasure of joining Suzanne in bringing Tiger off the property for a jumping lesson at a local barn.

Tiger was a champ as always. This was their first time truly jumping for a while since the weather had been less than ideal.

We were joining some friends that board at the farm and it was fun to catch up. They worked through some situations and it was a productive day.

Recently Stanley has been reverting back to some tough moments. We had a few really amazing rides and we slid back a little bit. My suspicion is ulcers/hindgut ulcers based on the behaviors and symptoms. I treated him in February but it was possibly not effective enough and we’ve been working a lot….and the wild weather is likely causing all sorts of sugar instability in the spring grass.

Before the symptoms began we had an incredible lesson. Stanley’s understanding of connection and bending well (recently this has been problematic again which could be the ulcers).

Horses have a way of keeping you honest and humble. Hoping that we can get past this and have a very productive season. I’m excited to get him traveling as soon as possible!
