If you’ve been with me for a while you’ll know I LOVE a good subscription box. I’ve unboxed quite a few over the years including Heart to Horse, Saddlebox, SpaDog, Cavali Club, Forelock and Fringe, and now the newest venture is the beginning of Marengo Equestrian.
Marengo Equestrian is the latest new curation brought to you by the former creator of Cavali Club, Carly Prosser. Carly is an avid equestrian just like us and brings style and small business into view for all to enjoy.

As we entered June Carly was busy packaging and shipping out all of the summer curation boxes to eager fans. I received an email before my box shipped notifying me that one of the items was delayed and that the expected date was not until the end of June. In order to get the box out sooner Carly included a free surprise gift and sent the box without the one item promising to send the delayed item on its own once it arrives. WOW. For the first customization, I chose to receive the sunshirt, but since it was delayed I will follow up with that one in another post.
For the second customization in the Summertime Marengo box I chose to receive the Standard Issue Holographic Belt. It’s so shiny and “extra” and the belt buckle is outstanding! It will certainly draw attention when I wear it to clinics or lessons!

For the last customization, I chose the candle! It was rather fitting after our first two shows to receive “Enter at A.” The scent is a black amber and lavender; ideal to calm some nerves! Stanley and I need this (See also, Stressage and Stanley)!

Aside from my customizations, I received a NonSlip Gel pad from Ace Equestrian. The pad is thin and super sticky, it comes with two plastic sheets to prevent it from attracting dust. The pad is used to prevent saddles/saddlepads from slipping back.

Carly never forgets to add something for the horses. In the summer Marengo box, we received two packets of Gallagher’s Water. This mix is an alfalfa-flavored powder containing electrolytes that encourage horses to drink more water in times of stress, heavy work, heat, or cold weather. One packet is designed to be mixed with 2 gallons of water.

Diving further into my Marengo box, I found a box of tack sponges. They aren’t ordinary tack sponges, however. They look like donuts! These are super cute tack sponges with a soft side (The icing) and an abbrasive side (the bottom). The bottom gives the whole sponge structure but can also be a great way to scrub off the saliva from your bits.

Finally, I found a cute horse word search book and a recent edition of the Plaid Horse. I’m looking forward to reading some of the latest articles!
