I’m back for another Sunday Review!

Today I am reviewing another new (to me) subscription box…Forelock and Fringe!

Forelock and Fringe began back in 2018 and is created/run by Emma, a fellow equestrian. Why haven’t I tried it yet? It’s UK Based, and until this year it’s only been available in the UK.

As of March 1st of this year Emma announced that international shipping is available. I had to jump aboard and try!

As I signed up for the box I was delighted at the option to receive the boxes monthly, bimonthly, quarterly, or even just one single box. YOU get the option to choose how often you receive one! That’s a fantastic idea! For now, my finances restrict me to just this one so I can share it with you.

Following the recurrence questions the site will ask you a series of questions about yourself and your horse. It will ask about your color preferences, clothing sizes, dietary needs, tack colors, horse size, and riding discipline. I love the attention to detail!

Fast forward to receiving my first Forelock and Fringe Box!

It finally arrived and I was excited to open it. How delightful to be welcomed with a small card with a dressage exercise/explanation. This is an exercise that I’ve practiced only once and look forward to doing again, and next time I will add the poles! Thank you for reminding me of it!

Inside the tissue paper, I discovered a beautiful navy polo by Shites/Aubrion! It’s a very classy color. It’s lightweight, too. To match the polo I also received a pair of nice Aubrion compression socks. Although I have giant calves they fit and pull all the way up to my knees. They’re incredibly comfy and I wore them all day long.

Next in the Forelock and Fringe box I received a container and brush for Lincoln Black Hoof Grease. The tub is recommended for weak brittle hooves and also for the protection of hooves exposed to muddy wet conditions. I also received a sample of a UK feed called Keyflow Pink Mash. The sample is a pellet consisting of soya hull fiber, beetroot, flaxseed, and probiotics. I imagine all of my boys will love trying a taste of this!

Finally, I found some snacks. Some snacks for me and snacks for the boys. For me, I found Whitaker’s Peppermint Creams. These are higher-end York Peppermint Patty. I’m not going to lie, either, I have actually been going through a York craving phase just days before getting this box!!! Since I asked for gluten-free, I received gluten-free. They are so delicious, too!

For the boys, I found a bag of dried veggies by Equiveg. These are air-dried carrot and parsnip snacks that have no added sugar or additives. They are naturally low in sugar and packed with nutrition. I haven’t yet offered them to the boys but I’m sure they are going to love them!

I’m extremely happy with the value provided by my Forelock and Fringe box. While I did have to pay international shipping rates I appreciate that we have another great option for an equestrian box that understands us.

If you’re in the market for a subscription box or even a gift Forelock and Fringe is an excellent option. This specific curation was slightly different from Marengo and Cavalli club as it didn’t feature home goods type of items but it contained a wonderful assortment of useful, quality items that make the box well worth it’s price.

Something that sets Forelock and Fringe apart is the ability to set your own frequency. Personally monthly seems excessive but for some people they love getting new things each month. Every other month seems nice, as does every 3 months. Really it’s up to you and your budget.

You can also get $10 off your first box! To find out more visit: https://forelockandfringe.co.uk/
